  Capitalism is an economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production and their operation for profit. Central characteristics of capitalism include capital accumulation, competitive markets, price system, private property, property rights recognition, voluntary exchange, and wage labor. In a capitalist market economy, decision-making and investments are determined by owners of wealth, property, or ability to maneuver capital or production ability in capital and financial markets—whereas prices and the distribution of goods and services are mainly determined by competition in goods and services markets.    Economists, historians, political economists and sociologists have adopted different perspectives in their analyses of capitalism and have recognized various forms of it in practice.   Poverty  is the state of having few material possessions or litt income.   Poverty can have diverse social,economic , and political  causes and effects. [1]  When evaluating poverty in statistics or economics there are two main measures:  absolute poverty  compares income against the amount needed to meet  basic personal needs   , such as  food ,  clothing , and  shelter ; [2]   relative poverty  measures when a person cannot meet a minimum level of  living standards , compared to others in the same time and place. The definition of  relative poverty  varies from one country to another, or from one  society  to another. Social forces, such as a  gender ,  disability , or race or ethnicity, can exacerbate issues of poverty—with women,  children  and minorities frequently bearing unequal burdens of poverty.
